Am I OK to submit a complaint?

The banks in Korea could work differently from your home country and you might get confused about what kind of cases are normal or not while you're banking with them so I wrote some cases.

The followings cases are normal and the bank won't likely take your complaint and sort them out.

How to submit a complaint online

1. Go to shinhan.com. Then, you'll find a link '전자민원' on the footer of the webpage. Click the link.

2. Click the link if you want to inquire, endorse, or report an employee. Otherwise, agree to the privacy policy then click '확인'.

3. Fill the form then click '확인' to submit. There will be a confirmation page after this.

4. If you chose '칭찬/불만' on the previous page, the page will look a bit different. Agree to the privacy policy then click '확인'.

5. Fill the form then click '확인' to submit. There will be a confirmation page after this.

Not satisfied with their response?

If you think they didn't care about your problem properly, you can submit a complaint to the Financial Supervisory Service(금융감독원). They're operating their English call centre. Dial 1339 then press 8.
